What it means to contribute to EgoVista
Every robot that learns to manipulate objects needs to see the world the way a human does. Not from a fixed camera on a wall, but from the first-person view of someone actually doing the task.
That's what EgoVista collects. Short video sessions of everyday tasks, filmed from the contributor's point of view at home. Cooking, tidying, assembling, handling objects. Things people do every day.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for adults based in Europe who are willing to film short sessions at home. No prior experience is required, and no special equipment is needed beyond a smartphone. Tasks are simple, clearly described in advance, and typically take between 30 and 60 minutes.
We're particularly interested in diversity of environments. Every setting adds something the dataset doesn't have yet, whether it's a kitchen in Lyon, a workshop in Berlin, or a living room in Madrid.
How it works
When a mission is available, registered contributors receive a brief. The brief describes exactly what to film, how to position the camera, and what tasks to perform. It also states the compensation for that mission upfront, before any commitment is made.
Once the session is filmed, the video will be submitted through the platform and reviewed by our team. If it meets the quality criteria described in the brief, the contributor will be paid after validation, via bank transfer.
All videos are anonymized before any processing. Faces and any identifying elements are removed. Contributor data is handled under GDPR, stored in the EU, and never shared with third parties.
What your footage becomes
After collection, each video goes through a multi-layer annotation process. Hand positions, depth, object interactions, and action sequences are extracted and structured into formats used directly to train robot manipulation policies.
Your 30-minute session in your kitchen can become part of a training set used by a robotics team working on physical AI.
Getting started
Registration is open at egovista.app/contribute. You'll be added to the contributor pool and notified when a mission matching your profile becomes available.
There's no commitment at signup. Participation is per mission, and you decide whether to take part each time a brief arrives.
